Kastl family update and Cayson health update:

The Kastl family is doing well as we enter the Christmas season in 2013. We have not posted in a while  but here is the update on Cayson and his health. Cayson is 5 now and has started Kindergarten. The first thing some parents think of is academics, socialization, learning to follow the rules of school and so on. We think about all those things and then GERMS!!. Cayson is being exposed to many gernms and his body is handling it pretty well for the most part. He has been sick from time to time, and he had a pretty bad sickness for a few weeks, but he has bounced back, good as new. He loves school and loves to write. He loves writing words and drawing pictures for his teacher. All in all, it has been a good first semester of public school. We are exploring a 504 plan to help him with absences during periods where he is sick, but so far, he has only missed a few days. Below is Cayson's school picture taken by Brenda.

Medicines

So Cayson has been pretty healthy, but every once in a while he get a runny nose and begin coughing. We use an inhaler with ambuterol, but man that thing makes him hyper as heck... He becomes a huge pain in the butt on this stuff. Driving me crazy..

TCBY Day to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

        The Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis in Colorado Springs was awesome this year. Here is Cayson standing with the Chick Filet Cow! Cayson is a trouper and is about to be four years old. We will be making a new video soon so be on the look out. Thank you to all who made it out to the walk and those who donated. Special thanks to family and friends walking in walks across the country for Cayson. We had family and friends walking in Vallejo, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and Lexington, KY. Simply amazing..
